Welcome—I'm so glad you're here.
I'm a compassionate therapist who works with children, teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, and life's transitions. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and show up exactly as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out.
I believe meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on safety, collaboration, and trust. Every person's story is unique, and I strive to create a space where your experiences, values, and goals are met with curiosity and compassion.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my Golden Retriever, journaling, and staying connected to my community.
If you're considering therapy for yourself or your child, I'd be honored to connect and answer any questions you may have.
Hi, I’m Courtney
Areas of Focus
You don’t have to navigate this alone. Therapy with Courtney offers a supportive space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion.
-
Anxiety can make everyday life feel overwhelming, leaving little room to slow down or feel present. Therapy offers a supportive, non-judgmental space to understand the root of your anxiety, untangle anxious patterns, and develop practical coping strategies that align with your unique needs and goals.
-
Depression can make the world feel heavy, flat, or distant, draining the energy from the things and people you care about most. In our sessions, we won’t just focus on 'fixing' the sadness; we will work together at your own pace to gently understand the root of your low mood, cultivate self-compassion, and find small, manageable ways to reconnect with your energy, hope, and vitality.
-
Difficult past experiences can linger in our minds and bodies, impacting how we feel today, how we relate to others, and how safe we feel in the world. Healing doesn't mean rushing to talk about everything that happened. Together, we will create a safe, paced space to gently process these experiences, quiet the nervous system, and help you reclaim a sense of comfort, strength, and ease in your daily life.
-
Living in a world with so many expectations can make it easy to lose touch with who you truly are. Whether you are exploring your identity, navigating a shift in your values, or simply trying to understand yourself on a deeper level, therapy offers a reflective, non-judgmental space. Together, we will look beneath the surface to explore your unique story, clarify what matters most to you, and help you live a life that feels authentic, aligned, and entirely your own.
-
Whether you are navigating a planned milestone—like a new career, relationship, or move—or facing an unexpected loss or shift, change can leave us feeling untethered and overwhelmed. Even 'good' change comes with stress and adjustment. Together, we will work to ground you through the uncertainty, honor the mixed emotions that transitions bring, and help you find your footing so you can move forward with clarity, resilience, and peace.
-
Our family relationships are often the most deeply rooted, which is why conflict within them can feel uniquely painful, exhausting, or confusing. Whether you are dealing with communication breakdowns, boundary struggles, or the strain of difficult dynamics, therapy provides a safe space to unpack it all. Together, we will work to understand the patterns at play, help you establish healthy boundaries, and explore ways to protect your peace of mind while navigating these complex connections.
-
Navigating a world that doesn't always fully see, value, or understand who you are can be deeply exhausting and isolating. Whether you are dealing with systemic pressures, the stress of belonging to multiple cultures, generational differences, or the daily wear of code-switching, your lived experience is entirely valid. Together, we will create a warm, affirming space where you don’t have to translate your story. We will work to heal from these unique pressures, clarify your values, and help you live authentically on your own terms.
If you're unsure whether your concerns are a good fit, I welcome you to reach out for a free consultation.
-
Creating a space where your experiences are met with compassion, curiosity, and respect, while recognizing the profound ways that difficult past experiences can shape your emotional well-being, nervous system, and relationships.
-
We are all shaped by the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. Together, we will explore these narratives, gently untangle you from the problems you're facing, and build a new, empowering story—one that truly reflects your strengths, values, and lived experiences.
-
We don’t just experience life in our heads; stress, emotions, and past experiences physically live in our bodies, too. Through somatic awareness, we will gently explore the connection between your mind and body—helping you recognize physical sensations, ground your nervous system, and release stored tension in a safe, paced way.
-
We are all made up of different 'parts'—like the part that strives for perfection, the part that worries, or the part that wants to shut down. These parts often develop to protect us and help us cope. Rather than trying to force these behaviors away, we will work to understand them with curiosity and compassion, helping you find internal harmony and ease.
-
Learning to tune into the present moment with openness and warmth, rather than judgment. By cultivating this gentle awareness, we create a pause in our day—giving you the space to respond thoughtfully to life's challenges rather than reacting automatically from a place of stress.
How I Approach Therapy
Therapy isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating space to explore your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and support while discovering what feels most meaningful to you.
